Pete Tong brings his Ibiza Classics project to Cardiff Castle on 11 June 2026. A key voice on BBC Radio 1 since the early 90s, he introduced Essential Selection and steered the Essential Mix while working in A&R as house music took root in the UK. As a DJ and producer, he revisits Ibiza anthems with a curator’s ear and studio know-how. Through releases like Classic House, Ibiza Classics and Chilled Classics, he explores new arrangements for dance tracks without losing their pulse, tracing a line from Balearic roots to late-night house shaped by years between the UK, Ibiza and the US.
Joining him, Mousse T. brings a German-Turkish take on soulful house. The Hannover-based producer behind Horny ’98 and the Tom Jones collaboration Sex Bomb co-founded Peppermint Jam and forged a catalogue steeped in funk, soul and disco. Between vocal-led cuts, disco-tinged basslines and a long list of remixes, his DJ sets keep melody upfront and the groove steady. Together they set up a celebration of classic club music with a current touch, under the open sky of Cardiff Castle.
