On 18 July 2026 at Venue Cymru in Llandudno, Jools Holland brings his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, a big-band unit built around his left-hand boogie, rapid piano runs and punchy brass. Holland leads from the keys with swing, blues and rock’n’roll woven into arrangements cut for horns and call-and-response. Guest vocalists Ruby Turner, Louise Marshall and Sumudu Jayatilaka take turns up front: Turner with a deep, gospel-leaning soul, Marshall with supple phrasing, Jayatilaka with clear, agile lines, before joining for tight harmonies. Special guest Roachford adds his mix of British soul, rock and modern R&B, a gritty, melodic voice that fits the Orchestra’s drive. The set draws on Holland’s songbook and classic rhythm and blues, leaving space for solo spots, shuffle grooves and full-band sections that keep the music moving between instrumentals and songs without losing the heat of the rhythm section.
