Courtney Barnett

Australian songwriter and guitarist Courtney Barnett plays O2 Forum Kentish Town in London on 21 October 2026. Since her early EPs gathered as The Double EP: A Sea of Split Peas, she’s shaped a strain of indie rock that folds folk instincts into garage edges. Her debut Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit set the blueprint: everyday scenes told in a near-spoken drawl, and guitars that slide from jangly lines to grainy overdrive. She widened the palette with Kurt Vile on Lotta Sea Lice, tightened the screws on Tell Me How You Really Feel, then stripped things back on Things Take Time, Take Time.

On stage, Barnett favors a compact electric setup where the songs carry the weight: taut rhythms, riffs that bite then resolve, and a voice that keeps the stories close to the grain. The set tends to roam across her catalogue, early cuts alongside newer material, shifting naturally between punch and restraint while keeping the lyrics front and center.
