Raised in Harlem, Rakim Mayers came up through A$AP Mob from 2007, then broke out with the 2011 tape Live.Love.A$AP and the tracks Peso and Purple Swag. Since then he has navigated between cloud-rap atmospheres, chopped-and-screwed inflections and club-leaning production, collaborating with Santigold, Skrillex and Danger Mouse. Long.Live.A$AP pushed him onto major stages worldwide, including support dates for Drake.
