On 2 July 2026, Lytham Green on Central Beach in Lytham Saint Annes hosts Alanis Morissette. After early pop beginnings in Canada, she carved a new path with Jagged Little Pill, where rough-edged guitars met introspective writing and a voice that cuts between confession and bite. The albums that followed stretched from post‑grunge tensions to more atmospheric textures, while keeping lyrics at the center — relationships, motherhood, spirituality, and the messiness in between. On stage, she moves with ease from full‑band drive to quieter detail, drawing a clear line through three decades of songs without losing immediacy.
Also on the bill, Skunk Anansie bring the London quartet’s mix of alternative rock, hard rock and punk, laced with funk and dub. Skin’s agile vocals sit over tight, front‑facing riffs, with texts that go straight at power, identity, race, sexuality and religion. From their 90s foundations to their reunion years, the band has honed a direct live language — tense, melodic and unvarnished — that sets a charged counterpoint to Morissette’s catalog.
