Mouth of the Tyne Festival presents « The K's »

On 9 July 2026, The K’s play Tynemouth Priory and Castle in Tynemouth. Formed in 2016 in Earlestown, Merseyside, this UK indie rock quartet brings a guitar-first approach and songs that get straight to the point. The lineup unites Jamie Boyle (vocals, guitar), Ryan Breslin (guitar), Dexter Baker (bass) and Nathan Peers (drums). Their writing sticks to compact forms and immediate melodies, with driving guitars and a rhythm section that keeps steady pressure while leaving the vocals at the front.

After a first run of singles across the late 2010s and early 2020s, The K’s moved to the album format with I Wonder If the World Knows? in 2024 on LAB Records, followed by Pretty on the Internet in 2025. On stage, they play fast and tight: brisk tempos, clear riffs, and choruses built for a crowd. The set draws from both albums and earlier singles, tracing a line through a certain British tradition of the live guitar band, between pop structures and a firm rock edge. A direct, unadorned show shaped for the open air of the Priory.
