Info
On 19 May 2026 at SWG3 Poetry Club in Glasgow, BLÜ EYES — the project of US singer, songwriter and producer Katie Stump — brings an intimate take on contemporary pop. After years playing in bands, she shaped her solo work around direct, first person writing and self-produced tracks that sit between bedroom pop and alternative pop. Themes of loss, identity, abandonment and uneven relationships run through her songs, carried by clear vocals, light electronic textures and tight, unfussy arrangements.
Her name nods to a sensitivity to light, a personal detail that mirrors music drawn to vulnerability and everyday emotion. Trained in pop performance at the University of Southern California, she has gradually refined a production style that keeps the storytelling upfront. The set leans on her 2022 EP healing hurts alongside newer pieces, building a close, conversational mood: soft synths, subtle rhythms, and melodies that stay close to the voice. A show centered on writing and production choices that make space for the words and the breath behind them.
