Judas Priest

Judas Priest have been shaping British heavy metal since the early 1970s. Formed in Birmingham around bassist Ian Hill and guitarists K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton, and soon joined by vocalist Rob Halford, the band pushed a hard rock foundation towards a sharper, faster sound built on twin guitars, cutting riffs and a wide, high-register voice. After Rocka Rolla, the group defined its direction with Sad Wings of Destiny, then tightened the attack through British Steel and Screaming for Vengeance, pairing a precise sonic edge with leather-and-steel imagery. Painkiller accelerated the tempos into speed-metal territory without losing melody.

Through the 1990s and 2000s, Halford stepped away and returned, and the band folded new chapters into a long-running story with Angel of Retribution, Redeemer of Souls and Firepower. With Richie Faulkner now on guitar alongside Tipton, Judas Priest bring that line-up and a catalogue spanning decades to Eventim Apollo, London, on 21 September 2026. The show centres on the band’s core markers: melodic dual leads, tight rhythm work and a voice that cuts through, forged in clubs and carried onto major stages worldwide.
