Wolfmother

Wolfmother play O2 Ritz Manchester on 30 July 2026. Formed in Sydney in the early 2000s around singer-guitarist Andrew Stockdale, the band shaped a sound rooted in 70s hard rock and psychedelia: thick, guitar-led riffs, vintage-tinged keys and a sharp, high-register vocal line. An early EP in 2004 led to the self-titled debut in 2005, which carried them beyond the Australian scene. After the 2008 lineup shift, Stockdale steered a renewed formation into Cosmic Egg (2009), with heavier tones and more extended song structures. A brief solo detour followed before Wolfmother resurfaced with the independently released New Crown (2014), then tightened the writing on Victorious (2016).

On stage, Wolfmother keep the focus on Stockdale’s guitar and voice, supported by a rhythm section built for head-on riffs and steady grooves, with keys dropping color where it counts. Sets typically move between early staples and later cuts, balancing crunchy momentum and spaced-out detours without getting stuck in nostalgia. In Manchester, the band draw across two decades of material and lean into arrangements shaped for live rooms, letting the songs breathe while keeping the pace brisk.
