Info
Del Amitri revisit their songbook with Past to Present – Four Decades of Their Greatest Music, on 28 November 2026 at Royal Liverpool Philharmonic in Liverpool. Formed in Glasgow and anchored by singer-bassist Justin Currie and guitarist Iain Harvie, the band has spent years shaping a sound where clean guitars and direct melodies meet lyrics with a dry, sometimes bruised edge. This show looks back across the albums that defined their path, from the late-80s jangle of Waking Hours through Change Everything and Twisted to the punch of Some Other Sucker’s Parade, and forward to the sharper cuts of Fatal Mistakes.
Expect a set that spans their different shades of pop-rock and folk-tinged alternative, stitching together brittle hooks and unshowy craftsmanship. The songs that carried them on both sides of the Atlantic are likely to surface — Nothing Ever Happens, Kiss This Thing Goodbye, Always the Last to Know, Roll to Me — alongside later material that kept their writing lean and melodic. With long-time ally Andy Alston’s keys colouring the edges and guitars doing the heavy lifting, Del Amitri bring back the balance that has always worked for them: tuneful, taut and quietly stinging. A rare chance to hear how four decades of writing sit together in one room.
