Robin Trower

Robin Trower brings his unmistakable blues-rock guitar to O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, London, on 5 September 2026. Raised between Catford and Southend-on-Sea, he first broke through in the 1960s with The Paramounts, then joined Procol Harum in 1967, shaping the band’s early albums with a tone already leaning toward blues rather than psychedelia. In 1971 he struck out on his own, forming the Robin Trower Band in 1973 with James Dewar and Reg Isidore, later Bill Lordan, and carving a path with records like Twice Removed from Yesterday, Bridge of Sighs, For Earth Below, Long Misty Days and In City Dreams.

On stage, Trower’s playing lives in the bends, the slow-burn riffs and the search for texture: a mix of rhythm and blues roots and late-60s electric grit. Over the years he has linked up with Jack Bruce for BLT, Truce and Seven Moons, and kept releasing new music, from Go My Way to No More Worlds to Conquer, Joyful Sky with Sari Schorr and Come and Find Me. Expect a set that reaches back to the classic trio era while opening onto his recent work, carried by that fluid phrasing and a sound built for long, expressive detours.
