Ray LaMontagne: « Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour »

Ray LaMontagne brings the Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour to Glasgow on 30 May 2026 at SEC Armadillo, Finnieston Street, Glasgow G3 8YW. Twenty years after his debut album Trouble, he revisits the songs that introduced his rugged voice and understated, acoustic-led songwriting. Raised in New England and shaped by the American folk tradition, LaMontagne moves between intimate folk rock, Americana hues and a grain of soul, letting space and dynamics carry the songs.

Since 2004 he has opened up his palette — the chamber-like sweep of Till the Sun Turns Black, the broader arrangements of Gossip in the Grain, the roots feel of God Willin’ & the Creek Don’t Rise, the retro colors of Supernova and the atmospheric drift of Ouroboros — before circling back to a more stripped approach on Part of the Light and Monovision. On stage, that journey folds back into the Trouble era, with melodies built on acoustic guitars, a weathered timbre up front, and stories that look inward.
