Declan J Donovan brings his clear voice and guitar-led pop to King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow on 8 June 2026. Raised in Harlow, Essex, he started writing young and built a sound that mixes acoustic roots with light folk and pop shades, driven by direct melodies and introspective lyrics. From his early EPs Fables and Time Machine to the first breakthrough Pieces in 2018, his path maps a steady, unshowy craft. Perfectly Imperfect in 2020 put the spotlight on themes of self-image in a stripped-back ballad, followed by tracks like I Wish, Vienna, Tangerine Skies and Fighting With Myself. Since then, he’s kept releasing singles such as Give You Love, Heaven, Giants, Hungry Heart and Ride or Die, and appeared in 2024 on Carry You with Martin Garrix, Third Party and Oaks, opening his palette without losing the organic base. On stage, expect intimate ballads alongside brighter pop cuts, all carried by a straightforward delivery and close-up storytelling. Special guests will join the bill.
