On 9 October 2026 at O2 Academy Brixton in London, The HU bring their hunnu rock, a meeting point between heavy riffs, throat singing and traditional Mongolian instruments. First revealed by Yuve Yuve Yu and Wolf Totem, the band has since toured widely across Asia, Europe and North America. Their debut album The Gereg set the direction with guttural leads, collective chants and steppe‑tinged motifs, while Rumble of Thunder pushed the heavier edge and anchored them in contemporary metal and hard rock circuits. Collaborations with artists like Serj Tankian and Jacoby Shaddix underline their bridges between Mongolian heritage and amplified music.
Sharing the bill, SKÁLD offers a French take on Nordic‑inspired neofolk, founded by composer and producer Christophe Voisin‑Boisvinet. Driven by percussion and string timbres, their vocals lean on Old Norse and other Scandinavian languages, drawing from myths, sagas and folklore. From Vikings Chant and Vikings Memories to the EPs Winter Songs and Huldufólk, the project adapts ancient sources within a contemporary framework. On stage, SKÁLD moves between folk, metal and traditional sounds, a counterpart to The HU’s amplified steppe.
