Info
On 10 May 2026 at EartH in London, Northern Irish songwriter and producer Joshua Burnside brings his singular folk to the stage. Based in Belfast, he builds songs where indie folk brushes against folktronica and indie rock, threaded with echoes of Irish and Scottish traditions, hints of Americana and discreet electronics. Field recordings and rhythmic detours slip into the mix, a language he’s been shaping since early EPs and sharpened on Ephrata in 2017, written in part after time in Colombia and marked by pulses that nod to cumbia.
Since then, Burnside has mapped out a body of work that shifts between bare acoustic ballads, hazier textures and pieces driven by a firmer beat: the EP All Round the Light Said, the albums Wear Bluebells in Your Hat If You’re Goin’ That Way, Into the Depths of Hell, Higher Places and, most recently, Teeth of Time in 2025. On stage, that palette opens wide, moving from intimate storytelling to more percussive swells, with arrangements that keep the songs close and restless at once. Special guests join for the occasion.
