Calibro 35

Calibro 35 bring their taut, cinematic funk to Jazz Cafe, London, on 4 November 2026. Formed in Milan in 2007, the instrumental collective stitches together dusty grooves, hypnotic rhythms and a streak of urban psychedelia drawn from the Italian crime-soundtrack tradition. Keyboards, guitar and brass lock in with a nervy drum pulse to build scenes that feel part score, part dancefloor.

Their tracks have been sampled by Dr. Dre and JAY-Z, and the band has shared bills with Roy Ayers, Sun Ra Arkestra, Thundercat and Robert Glasper. Fresh off composing the soundtrack to Francesco Zippel’s documentary Ellroy vs. L.A., they translate James Ellroy’s shadowy Los Angeles into a live set that moves from slow-burn tension to high-velocity chases.

With a new album on the way, Calibro 35 dive into their catalog while unveiling new material, threading noir melodies, fuzzed-out riffs and hard-funk breaks into a tight narrative. Step in for a night where sharp arrangements and atmospheric grooves meet onstage.
