Info
Tide Lines brings their blend of folk rock, melodic pop and Celtic roots to Rescue Rooms in Nottingham on 12 May 2026. Born in the Scottish Highlands and now based in Glasgow, the band writes songs that carry images of coastal landscapes and small-town life, mixing English lyrics with occasional Gaelic elements. Formed around singer Robert Robertson with Alasdair Turner, Ross Wilson and Fergus Munro, Tide Lines builds on clear vocal lines, layered guitars and keys, and touches of traditional folk that keep a close link to their origins.
On stage, the group draws from three records that have shaped their path since the mid-2010s: Dreams We Never Lost, Eye of the Storm and An Ocean Full of Islands. The set moves between intimate storytelling and broader, open melodies, staying focused on memory, travel and community ties. Expect a sound that sits comfortably between modern pop structures and folk textures, with arrangements that leave space for chorus work, rhythmic lift and the kind of detail that lets the songs breathe. Without chasing trends, Tide Lines continues to refine a straightforward writing style that makes room for both reflection and movement, carried by a voice at the center and an ensemble that knows how to serve the song.
