Codefendants

Codefendants land in London on 16 October 2026 at O2 Academy Islington. Formed by rapper-songwriter Ceschi Ramos, Sam King from the Californian punk outfit Get Dead, and Fat Mike of NOFX, the trio pushes a hybrid they call crime wave: taut guitars, rap-rooted rhythms, spoken passages and melodies with a darker tint. Drawn from both West Coast punk circuits and US indie rap, their songs balance structure and rough edges, letting narrative detours and features slip into the frame without losing momentum.

Their 2023 album This Is Crime Wave set the tone, moving from slow-burn ballads to ska-tinged turns, from alt-rock shivers to lean, rhythm-forward tracks. On stage, the exchange between Ramos and King drives the set, lines thrown back and forth, sung hooks cutting through verses, while Fat Mike’s punk backbone keeps everything tight and mobile. The result is a live format that shifts pace rather than volume, trading in tension, groove and storytelling more than bravado.
