Info
Courteeners bring their Manchester-born indie rock to Leeds Arena on 6 November 2026. Formed in Middleton in 2006 around singer and songwriter Liam Fray, the band first took shape with Michael Campbell and Daniel Moores, before producer-bassist Joe Cross became a mainstay and Elina Lin joined on keys. Their sound sits between post‑Britpop and the post‑punk revival, built on direct, melodic writing, tight rhythm work and guitar lines that leave room for synth shades without losing their bite.
Across seven albums, the group has widened its palette while keeping a clear core. St. Jude (2008) and Falcon (2010) set the early blueprint; Anna (2013) arrived as the name slimmed to Courteeners; Concrete Love (2014) and Mapping the Rendezvous (2016) leaned further into bright, synth-led textures; More. Again. Forever. (2020) and Pink Cactus Café (2024) pushed the groove and tone in new directions. Live, that catalogue lands with energy and singalong choruses, moving from sharp, guitar-driven cuts to broader, keyboard-coloured tracks.
Regulars at Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds and TRNSMT, and anchored in Manchester’s identity, Courteeners roll into Leeds with a set that draws on every era, from early favourites to recent material, made for a room like Leeds Arena.
