Widowspeak

On 22 November 2026 Widowspeak arrive at Circolo Arci Bellezza in Milan. The American duo, born in Brooklyn in 2010, is today centred on Molly Hamilton and guitarist Robert Earl Thomas. Their songwriting moves between slowed-down indie rock, dream pop and folk, with a light country tint: dry guitars, measured rhythms, and a voice up front without frills. Live, this vocabulary turns into songs that breathe, a quiet tension and melodies that remain in focus, set between controlled reverbs and guitar dialogues that map out the space.

From their self-titled debut in 2011 to Almanac (2013, recorded in the Hudson Valley with Kevin McMahon), via All Yours (2015) and Expect the Best (2017), and on to Plum (2020) and The Jacket (2022), Widowspeak have honed a distinctive sonic signature: essential arrangements, restrained dynamics and a constant attention to Hamilton’s voice. On stage the duo works by subtraction, allowing details, pauses and small twists to emerge that keep the songs’ thread intact without weighing them down. A set that alternates controlled slowness with melodic openings, sharpening the balance between songwriting and space.
