On 16 September 2026 at Szene Wien in Vienna, Icelandic duo VÆB land with a set built on sharp synth lines, tight beats and hooks that hit fast. Formed by brothers Hálfdán Helgi and Matthías Davíð Matthíasson, the project sits somewhere between electronic pop and light hip-hop, with short, direct songs sung in Icelandic and choruses that stick without fuss. Launched in 2022 via a first viral track, they’ve since refined a sound that leans on punchy rhythms, clear melodies and a frontal energy that translates well on stage.

Their path has taken them through Söngvakeppnin and the Eurovision stage with the synth-pop single Róa, followed by a run of collaborations and an EP with Ingi Bauer. In 2026, VÆB push further with the album Væbout, adding new textures while keeping that immediate, youthful edge.
