On 10 October 2026 at 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin, Darren Kiely plays a set shaped by folk-pop and the pulse of Irish tradition. Raised in County Cork, he learned tin whistle and fiddle early on, then guitar, instruments that still frame his writing and stage sound. Since he began singing in 2019, he has kept his songs close to the bone: clear melodies, acoustic arrangements, a direct voice, and stories drawn from family ties, break-ups and turning points. A move to New York in 2022 opened his project to the Americana side of folk without losing the lilt of Celtic phrasing. The singles How Could You Love Me, Ella, Time To Leave and Mom & Dad trace that journey and set the tone for the night. On stage, the music shifts from bare ballads to steady, fiddle-led grooves, with whistle lines threading through the mix.
