Info
Garbage bring their hybrid rock to Iveagh Gardens in Dublin on July 18, 2026. Formed in Madison, Wisconsin in 1993, the band unites producers and multi-instrumentalists Butch Vig, Duke Erikson and Steve Marker with Scottish vocalist Shirley Manson, whose distinctive delivery anchors the group’s sound. From the self-titled debut in 1995 through Version 2.0 in 1998, Garbage shaped a blend of abrasive guitars, programmed rhythms and electronic textures balanced with sharp pop hooks. The late 90s also saw them record the James Bond theme The World Is Not Enough, widening their reach beyond the rock circuit.
The 2000s brought the more direct Beautifulgarbage and Bleed Like Me, followed by a pause before the band returned independently with Not Your Kind of People in 2012. Strange Little Birds (2016) and No Gods No Masters (2021) pushed further into dark, electronic-leaning rock with introspective themes. On stage, the quartet moves between serrated riffs, layered synths and tight beats, with Manson’s voice front and center. The set leans on cornerstone tracks and deeper cuts from across their catalogue, played with the focused energy of a group built in the studio and sharpened by years of touring.
