Day We Ran

Day We Ran land at Whelan’s on 25 August 2026, bringing a guitar-driven alternative rock that leans on taut riffs, three-part vocal harmonies and melodies shaped like short narratives. The Australian outfit draws an atmospheric line through its songs, building wide choruses without losing a direct, compact format, and giving each track a visual, almost cinematic contour. Noticed early with the single Foaming, later used in the series Outer Banks, they’ve since pushed that blend of energy, melodic clarity and an introspective tone across new releases.

On stage, Day We Ran play with dynamics and texture: verses that slow-burn into choruses, harmonies folding over grainy guitars, arrangements that leave space for tension before release. The band toured Australia and New Zealand and supported Sam Fender and The Kooks in the UK, honing a live set where the writing stays upfront and the sound stays lean. At Whelan’s, 25 Wexford Street, Dublin 2, Ireland, they line up songs that travel from hushed edges to lifted refrains, carried by guitars and voices moving in sync.
