The Stylistics bring Philadelphia soul to Dublin on 11 November 2026 at Vicar Street. Formed in 1968 from two local groups, they forged a blend of smooth R&B, orchestral soul and vocal pop, defined early on by Russell Thompkins Jr.’s falsetto and the writing team of Thom Bell and Linda Creed. Their 70s catalogue still anchors the live show, with titles like Stop, Look, Listen, You Are Everything, Betcha by Golly, Wow, People Make the World Go Round and You Make Me Feel Brand New.
Today the group centers on founding members Airrion Love and Herb Murrell, joined by Jason Sharp. On stage, they focus on close harmonies and measured arrangements, moving from lush ballads to lighter, dance‑tinged tracks from the Hugo & Luigi and Van McCoy period. The set draws on the sound that shaped The Stylistics, performed by the voices that carry it today, in an intimate room where the songs breathe.
