Info

Holy Holy brings its Bowie celebration to Dublin as part of their final tour, landing at The Academy on 27 September 2026. Built around original Bowie collaborators Woody Woodmansey on drums and Tony Visconti on bass, the lineup reconnects with the sound and energy of Bowie’s early 70s period. With Glenn Gregory (Heaven 17) on vocals, the band revisits the catalogue forged with this core, from The Man Who Sold the World into the Ziggy Stardust years, played by the musicians who helped shape it on record and on stage.

Visconti’s melodic basslines and arranger’s touch meet Woodmansey’s tight, driving groove, an anchor for the riffs, harmonies and odd contours that defined those songs. Gregory carries the melodies with a clear, grounded delivery, leaving room for the band’s dynamics and detail. The set leans into guitars up front, analogue textures, and that rhythmic conversation between bass and drums that marked Bowie’s move from folk-rock to glam and art rock. Performed by the players who were there, it’s a live reading that keeps faith with the originals while opening space for the moment.
