Sven-Ingvars marks 70 years with Igår. Idag. Imorgon. 70 år. at Växjö Konserthus in Växjö on 21 November 2026. Formed in 1956 in Slottsbron, the band first rode the wave of rock’n’roll and early Swedish pop before leaning into the dansband tradition from the 1970s. Their blend of dance rhythms, Swedish refrains and rock instrumentation has built a catalog that spans generations.

The early lineup brought together Ingvar Karlsson, Sven-Erik Magnusson and Sven Svärd, later joined by Rune Bergman and Sven-Olof Petersson. A noted chapter in their history: at a 1963 concert in Karlstad, the Beatles opened for them. Over the years, the group has carried songs such as Te’ dans me’ Karlstatösera, Fröken Fräken, Börja om från början and Vid din sida.

After the passing of singer Sven-Erik Magnusson in 2017, the band continued with his son Oscar Magnusson on vocals, keeping the balance between pop pulse, rock color and the Swedish dance tradition. The anniversary set circles yesterday, today and tomorrow, revisiting core titles alongside newer material, with arrangements shaped for today’s stage and a steady groove designed for collective sway and sing-along moments.
