Info
The Tallest Man On Earth, aka Swedish singer-songwriter Kristian Matsson, brings his raw and nimble folk to Sara kulturhus in Skellefteå on 1 May 2026. Centered on voice and guitar, his songs balance quick, percussive fingerpicking with melodies that linger, moving from restless bursts to quieter, intimate turns. Since the self-titled EP and Shallow Grave (2008), he’s honed a solo practice where open tunings, concise phrasing and vivid imagery do the heavy lifting, widening the frame on The Wild Hunt (2010) and There’s No Leaving Now (2012) without losing that close-up feel.
Dark Bird Is Home (2015) and I Love You. It’s a Fever Dream. (2019) pushed toward broader textures and duskier tones, followed by the covers collection Too Late for Edelweiss (2022) and Henry St. (2023), made with producer Nick Sanborn. On stage he performs mostly alone, switching guitars and retuning on the fly, letting the songs breathe and shift. Expect a set that threads early pieces with newer material, where the guitar leads and the storytelling stays at the heart of it.
