The Wallflowers

The Wallflowers bring their blend of alternative rock, heartland drive and americana to Fållan in Johanneshov on 12 November 2026. Formed in Los Angeles around singer and guitarist Jakob Dylan, the band shaped a sound where narrative songwriting and steady grooves set the pace. A roots-rock framework emerged on their self-titled debut, then Bringing Down the Horse carried their melodic writing to rock radio with a clear dialogue between guitars and keys. Through (Breach), Red Letter Days and Rebel, Sweetheart, the project edged toward a more contemporary pop-rock texture while lineups shifted, with Dylan as the constant and longtime keyboardist Rami Jaffee giving depth to the arrangements.

After a quieter period, Glad All Over in 2012 leaned into a more direct, guitar-forward approach, followed by Exit Wounds in 2021, which reconnected with folk-rock colors. On stage, The Wallflowers weave together songs from the 90s and newer material, guided by Dylan’s low, unhurried voice, organ swells and a balance of jangly and gritty guitars. The set focuses on songs and pulse, sitting somewhere between classic American rock roots and present-day pop sensibilities.
