Info
On 8 August 2026 the double concert featuring Gregor Meyle & SOPHIA will bring the Lüneburg Kultursommer together in Lüneburg. SOPHIA, born in 1995 in Wetter, returned to her own music after early vocal training and a stint on Deutschland sucht den Superstar, sharing it on TikTok and Instagram from 2021 onward. In collaboration with the producer duo Achtabahn she released her first official recordings: Niemals allein (2021), followed by Wenn du die Augen schließt (2022), as well as singles like Schmetterling and Wenn Kometen fallen. Her debut album Niemals allein was released on Vertigo in 2023, followed in 2024 by the follow-up Wenn es sich gut anfühlt. Her German-language pop aesthetic emphasizes voice, clear melodies and lyrics that explore relationships, doubt and self-assertion; she has also appeared on major stages, from an NFL game in Germany to contributing a song to Moana 2.
Gregor Meyle, born in 1978 in Backnang, has stood for German-language songwriting since 2007, situated between folk, pop and subtle soul inflections. After his debut So soll es sein (2008) he embarked on extended tours and live releases such as Meile für Meyle (2010), later developing a broader songwriting scope on New York – Stintino (2016). Formats like Sing meinen Song and his Meylensteine series have kept Meyle in the public eye, without him losing his focus on band, guitar and direct storytelling. At the double concert the two signatures meet: contemporary pop songs and acoustically grounded storytelling.
