When Textures announced their breakup in 2018, it marked the end of an era for progressive metal. Their absence was felt worldwide—by fans, by their peers, and by a scene they helped shape. Now, six years later, the Dutch band is back with Genotype and reaffirms what defined them from the start.
On Thursday, 15 October 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Trabendo, Textures return with “At the Edge of Winter,” the second single from their upcoming album Genotype. Featuring Charlotte Wessels (ex-Delain), the track combines atmospheric synths, refined sound design and polyrhythmic grooves with riff-driven passages and melodic vocal lines.
