Fink

Fink brings his ninth studio album, The City Is Coming to Erase It All, to the stage — on 16 November 2026 at the Live Music Hall in Cologne. Behind Fink is Fin Greenall, who launched the project in the late 1990s on Ninja Tune between downtempo and trip-hop and has, since the mid-2000s, shaped an acoustic signature somewhere between folk and blues. The new material was created in Zennor, Cornwall, guided by a strict 1974 blueprint: instruments, sounds and production gestures remain analog and earthy — not as a backward glance, but as an attitude for the present.

Live, Fink sticks to the trio setup of guitar, bass and drums. Sparse arrangements, a precise pulse and plenty of space for Greenall’s voice and fingerpicking carry the new songs, while the band lets the breadth of its catalogue resonate — between folk-like pull, bluesy hues and quiet traces of their electronic beginnings. The album is conceived as a narrative journey, from the opening greeting to the instrumental final note; that dramaturgy is reflected on stage, where the urge to try out fresh material is front and center. An evening for the curious who listen to albums as stories and give songs time to unfold.
