Axel Bauer

Axel Bauer arrives at Paloma in Nîmes on 24 October 2026 for a concert focused on his guitars and his French-language songs, oscillating between taut rock and bursts of new wave. On stage he retraces the thread of his career: the angular energy of Cargo and his early albums, the broader atmospheres of Sentinelles, then the pop-rock contours of Bad Cowboy and Peaux de serpent, up to the more frontal textures of Radio Londres. The set moves between nervous numbers, more suspended passages and song formats, with clear riffs, stage-ready melodic lines and lyrics that mix introspection with observations of the urban. Bauer alternates electric passages and more stripped-down sequences, performs his classics without locking them in place, and slips in reinterpretations and instrumental extensions.
