The Lemonheads

On 21 October 2026 The Lemonheads play at the Metropol in Berlin. Evan Dando brings Love Chant (2025), the band's first studio album in almost two decades, to the stage — written across continents, mostly recorded in São Paulo, and featuring contributions from J Mascis, Juliana Hatfield, Tom Morgan, Bryce Goggin, Erin Rae, and Nick Saloman. Live, this new phase meets the open, melodic sound that has defined the band since its early days.

Founded in 1986 in Boston, the collective around Dando moves between punk energy, power-pop and jangle-pop, folk nuances, and direct choruses. The set mixes fresh tracks like "Deep End" or "The Key of Victory" with songs from the Ray and Come On Feel eras — raw in emotion, clear in melody, unmistakably The Lemonheads.

Across changing lineups, Dando's personal touch has remained at the core: laconic, vulnerable, and catchy. That younger artists such as Courtney Barnett, Waxahatchee, Phoebe Bridgers, or MJ Lenderman cite The Lemonheads reflects the band's enduring influence.
