Hervé Vilard will be appearing at the Jean Monnier Congress Centre – Destination Angers, in Angers, on 13 November 2026 for an evening devoted to French song, between the poetry of popular music and beloved melodies. First brought to prominence in the mid-1960s with “Capri c’est fini,” he has since written landmark songs such as “Nous,” “Venise pour l’éternité,” “Reviens” and “Méditerranéenne,” and carried his music far beyond France, reaching Latin America and Asia, in French and occasionally in Spanish.
On stage, Hervé Vilard favors direct engagement with the audience and storytelling, with arrangements that place the voice front and center. Between tender ballads and more upbeat choruses, he presents a repertoire woven from memories, travels and love stories. An evening to revisit songs that have stood the test of time and to hear them here and now.
