Info
Collective Soul bring their guitar-driven alt-rock to Calgary at Grey Eagle on 31 July 2026. Born in 1992 near Atlanta, the band carved out a crisp blend of post-grunge weight and pop melody, led by songwriter and frontman Ed Roland with his brother Dean on guitar. The breakthrough arrived with Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid (1994) and the self-titled album (1995), home to early staples like Shine, December and The World I Know. Since then, the group has kept the line moving with Dosage (1999), Youth (2004), See What You Started by Continuing (2015), Blood (2019) and Vibrating (2022), refining bright hooks, layered guitars and clear vocal lines.
On stage, the core of Ed and Dean Roland and bassist Will Turpin teams up with guitarist Jesse Triplett and drummer Johnny Rabb. The set leans on three decades of songs that sit between radio rock and melodic hard rock, shifting from chiming mid-tempo anthems to leaner, riff-led cuts, with harmonies that carry the melodies front and center.
