Show Me the Body

On 25 June 2026 New York trio Show Me the Body bring their hybrid hardcore set to EXIL in Zurich. Since 2009 they have been condensing hardcore punk, noise rock and post-hardcore with rap inflections — the central pivot is the electrically amplified banjo, which roughens the texture of their sound without smoothing the immediate tension. Emerging from their city's DIY scene, the band released early tapes and EPs, then Body War (2016) and Dog Whistle (2019), before Trouble the Water (2022) further sharpened the songs: dry heft, spoken-word passages, heavier surges. At the same time, the Corpus collective maintains ties to hardcore, noise and experimental circles; that collaborative energy also shapes their stage presence. Live, Show Me the Body shift between angular riffs, droning textures and percussive banjo lines; the vocals oscillate between spoken delivery and outburst. The Zurich set spans early tracks to newer songs, keeping the focus on the physical, urban pulse that drives their music.
