Romeo & Juliet returns on March 3, 2028 at 7:30 p.m. to the Galaxie Amnéville. A popular phenomenon, the show has captivated more than 11 million spectators worldwide. Translated into 18 languages and performed in 20 countries, it has established itself as a landmark of French musical theatre. Launched in 2001 at the Palais des Congrès, the production drew nearly 2.5 million spectators. From the outset, the duo Damien Sargue and Cécilia Cara left their mark on the show. Romeo & Juliet still brings this duo back to the stage today.

Cécilia Cara: Returning with Romeo & Juliet is moving. I was chosen at 15 to play Juliet, a foundational role that marked the beginning of my life as an artist. Reuniting with it twenty years later, alongside Damien, was a powerful moment—almost as if we had never parted, but had been enriched by experience. This comeback has symbolic value: returning to where it all began, with 25 years of experience that now inform the characters. The story continues to bring people together and to convey love and emotion.

Continuing, Damien Sargue adds: returning after having taken Romeo & Juliet around the world, notably in Asia, has a particular resonance. This role has accompanied me since 2001, and revisiting it today alongside Cécilia, with the perspective and maturity that time brings, gives this adventure a new depth.

With millions of records sold and songs that have become part of French pop culture—such as "Les Rois du monde" and "Aimer"—Romeo & Juliet has left its mark on the history of musical theatre. For nearly 25 years, the show has traveled across cultures and adapted to the changes of its time: new techniques, new stage conventions, new audience expectations. While renewing itself, it retains what defines its identity: familiar songs, a grand aesthetic, and a sense of spectacle.

For Gérard Presgurvic, Romeo & Juliet remains a universal and timeless love story. It poses a question that is still relevant: how far are we willing to go for love? Shakespeare answers it with a force that spans the centuries, and it is this emotion that continues to be shared with the audience. Reuniting Damien Sargue and Cécilia Cara, more than twenty years after their debuts, brings a new depth to the production, nourished by the experience they have gained.

Romeo & Juliet returns in a reimagined version, incorporating new generational codes while preserving its essence: a timeless story, universal emotions, and a recognizable musical signature. This revival is accompanied by a new cast, new costumes, and new stage design conceived for today.
