On 27 February 2027 at the Élysée Montmartre in Paris, The Halo Effect, Lacuna Coil and Omnium Gatherum share the bill for an evening dedicated to melodic metal.
Born in Gothenburg, The Halo Effect brings together former members of In Flames alongside Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity) with the intention of reviving the city’s melodeath sound. Hook-filled riffs, crisp melodies, choruses conceived for live performance and dark atmospheres shape a set that draws on Days of the Lost and extends the legacy of the 1990s without heavy nostalgia.
From Milan, Lacuna Coil deliver their dark metal informed by gothic and alternative influences. The vocal duality between Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro remains the band’s core: clean singing and taut melodic lines set against rougher parts, carried by contemporary arrangements that revisit the aesthetic of Comalies and its follow-ups.
Omnium Gatherum completes the lineup with melodic death metal marked by Nordic melancholy and progressive touches. Expressive guitars, atmospheric keyboards and Jukka Pelkonen’s deep vocals create contrasts between fast assaults and soaring respites, spanning their earlier repertoire through Origin. Three complementary visions of the same scene, crafted for the stage.
