On 28 September 2026 at Gretchen in Berlin, Sergio Sayeg, aka Sessa, takes the stage. Raised in São Paulo and based in New York, the musician conceives of music as an open system: drawing on the legacy of Tropicalismo, he blends rock, jazz, samba and soul into songs that remain close to Brazilian tradition yet breathe freely. Since his 2019 debut he has been shaping his own sonic space: a distinctive acoustic guitar, Afro‑Brazilian percussion, his unmistakable voice alternating with a women’s choir.

With Pequena Vertigem de Amor, Sessa expands this palette in a more nocturnal, open direction—somewhere between the MPB of the late seventies and a psychedelic soul that calls to mind Sly Stone or Shuggie Otis, without abandoning its basic framework.
