Info
The Strokes bring their Reality Awaits North America tour to RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto on June 21, 2026. Formed in New York in 1998, the five-piece forged a lean sound built on interlaced guitars, a straight-ahead rhythm section and Julian Casablancas’ cool, slightly drawled delivery. From The Modern Age and Is This It through Room on Fire and First Impressions of Earth, then Angles, Comedown Machine and The New Abnormal, the band has stretched from garage and post-punk grit to shades of new wave without losing its sharp, melodic core. On stage, expect terse riffs, tight grooves and that push-pull between Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond Jr., anchored by Nikolai Fraiture and Fabrizio Moretti.
Also on the bill, Thundercat leans into a jazz-funk-R&B blend shaped in the Brainfeeder orbit, with elastic six‑string bass lines and airy falsetto. From The Golden Age of Apocalypse to Drunk and It Is What It Is, his songs slide between knotty harmonies and laid-back grooves.
Opening, Hamilton Leithauser, ex-frontman of The Walkmen, brings a grainy, cutting voice and a knack for direct, melodic songwriting. Solo releases like Black Hours and The Loves of Your Life thread indie rock with classic pop and a touch of folk, setting a steady, unadorned tone before the main set.
