Souls of Mischief touch down in Kingston on July 21, 2026 at Broom Factory. Born in Oakland within the Hieroglyphics crew, A-Plus, Phesto, Opio and Tajai ontbuilta sound rooted in the Bay Area: agile writing, jazz- and funk-leaning samples, and voices that pass the mic in tight sequence. Their 93 ’til Infinity set the blueprint, followed by No Man’s Land, Trilogy: Conflict, Climax, Resolution, Montezuma’s Revenge, and There Is Only Now with Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad. Across the years, the quartet keeps the focus on vocal interplay, groove and cinematic textures rather than showboating.
On stage, the four MCs weave verses and hooks like a single instrument, moving from mellow, melodic beats to head-nod tempos with quick pivots. Tracks from 93 ’til Infinity sit alongside material from later releases, carried by call-and-response dynamics shaped within Hieroglyphics. Special guests to be announced.
