The Tea Party

On June 27, 2026, The Tea Party plays the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, bringing a set shaped by their blend of blues roots, alternative rock and modal colors drawn from Middle Eastern and South Asian traditions. Formed in Windsor, Ontario, Jeff Martin (vocals, guitar), Stuart Chatwood (bass, keyboards) and Jeff Burrows (drums) have built a sound where heavy riffs, open‑tuned acoustics and shadowy atmospheres coexist.

Across the 90s and 2000s, the trio toured widely and forged a catalogue that runs from the raw drive of Splendor Solis to the expansive textures of The Edges of Twilight and Transmission, then Triptych and The Interzone Mantras, before Seven Circles closed a first chapter. Reunited since 2011, they’ve extended that palette on The Ocean at the End and Blood Moon Rising, balancing electric punch with more spacious passages. On stage, the band moves between groove, ornamented melodies and hypnotic dynamics, drawing on early tracks and newer material while staying true to the thread that defines their identity.
