MEUTE

On 29 June 2026, MEUTE plays at the Mas des Escaravatiers in Puget‑sur‑Argens. The techno brass band from Hamburg, led by trumpeter Thomas Burhorn, brings together eleven musicians who translate house and techno into an acoustic sound propelled by brass and percussion. First revealed in 2016 with their reinterpretation of Âme’s “Rej,” they have since built a precise stage language in which the sousaphone replaces the bass, the snare drums carve out the breaks and the pulse remains continuous, conceived for dancing.

The repertoire mixes rearrangements and original compositions. It includes versions of tracks from the electronic scene — from Laurent Garnier to Disclosure, via Dennis Ferrer and Deadmau5 — as well as original pieces developed across the albums Tumult, Live in Paris, Puls, Taumel and Empor. On stage, MEUTE moves between the energy of a street brass band and the drive of a club live set, without machines but with a collective dynamic that raises tension in waves. After touring Europe and beyond and collaborating with Henrik Schwarz, the group has refined a set in which composition and groove take pride of place.
