Info
On November 15, 2026, at Le Ferrailleur in Nantes, Marcus Gad brings a roots reggae forged between New Caledonia and Europe. Originally from Nouméa, he writes songs in English and French in which spirituality, Kanak culture and a relationship with nature intertwine. Backed on stage by the band Tribe, his live performance favors slow tempos, unifying backing vocals and acoustic textures that allow the voices, the bass and the percussion to breathe.
The set traces the milestones of his discography: Purify established a pared-down, organic aesthetic; the collaboration with producer Tamal on Brave New World opened a more meditative dimension, where roots flirts with dub and downtempo textures; Rhythm of Serenity cemented a songwriting approach attentive to ecological concerns, colonial legacies and social realities. Between roots vibrations and dub echoes, Marcus Gad and Tribe deliver sober, precise arrangements driven by a collective energy that links Rasta tradition to the resonances of the Pacific.
