On July 3, 2026 at l’Atabal in Biarritz, thrown arrives with its taut metalcore. Formed in Stockholm, the band delivers short, direct songs driven by heavily tuned riffs, highly syncopated rhythms and unadorned shouted vocals. Signed to the German label Arising Empire, thrown first came to attention in 2022 with the EP Extended Pain, then followed up in 2024 with their debut album, Excessive Guilt, which was named “Best Breakthrough Album” at the Heavy Music Awards 2025, after winning “Best Breakthrough Live Act” in 2024.
On stage the four-piece bets on impact: clean breakdowns, immediate song structures, chant-like refrains and a compact energy that keeps the pressure on. Lyrics focus on anxiety, anger and interpersonal tension; their sound is massive and precise, a hardcore legacy tinged with modern nu‑metal influences. Thrown comes to present their new material in a straightforward, no-nonsense set.
