Walter Trout

On 24 October 2026 at L'Alhambra, Walter Trout returns to Paris with the European tour for his album Sign of the Times. A leading figure in electric blues rock, the American guitarist and singer has been refining his on‑stage playing since the late 1960s. Having been a member of John Mayall’s bands and Canned Heat, he also played alongside John Lee Hooker before embarking on a long solo chapter in 1989, combining extended guitar flights, rock grooves and ballads delivered with a restrained vibrato.

In concert, Walter Trout presents a repertoire that mixes classics from his catalogue with recent releases, with tracks from Sign of the Times given pride of place. Tight riffs, stretched choruses, nods to Chicago blues and rock energy structure the set. Backed by a tight-knit band, he alternates between high‑energy numbers and slower tempos, revisits a few standards and runs through his compositions with a precision forged by years on stage. A direct, no‑frills blues‑rock performance, centered on guitar and songwriting.
