Way Dynamic

Way Dynamic, the solo project of Melbourne musician Dylan Young, will play on 31 May 2026 at Urban Spree in Berlin. With Massive Shoe, Young recently released an album that consolidates his range between minimalist folk-pop, art rock and baroque pop; the tracks revolve around clear melodies, relaxed tempos and intimate vocals that blend with simple harmonies. In the studio Young writes all the songs himself, handles most of the instruments and co-produces with Stefan Blair (Good Morning) — this signature also informs the live setting, where the songs are opened up in a band format and rendered a little edgier. The lineup changes frequently and is drawn from the close-knit Melbourne community to which Young belongs through Good Morning, Cool Sounds and Snowy Band. The result is a set that oscillates between quiet sketches and denser guitar textures, leaves room for keyboard pads, and emphasises contrasts more clearly than on record, allowing Way Dynamic to set his precisely crafted songs in motion without losing their intimacy.
