Placebo - 30th Anniversary Tour

Placebo celebrate three decades of the band’s history and bring their 30th Anniversary Tour to the Festhalle Frankfurt am Main on 29 October 2026. Founded by Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal, the duo began in London under the name Ashtray Heart, before their self-titled 1996 debut paved the way — with “Come Home” as an early hit and their first shows in the USA. Shortly thereafter they appeared in the orbit of David Bowie; tours and studio work alternated, including 2003’s Sleeping With Ghosts. The band later collaborated with Depeche Mode and U2, while the drummer lineup changed several times. In 2013 Placebo returned to the studio with Loud Like Love and have been touring regularly since then.

On stage today the core duo Molko/Olsdal, supported by a band, deliver sharp alternative rock, dense guitars and Molko’s distinctive voice. The 30th Anniversary Tour looks back over three decades of songs and sounds, from the early years to more recent chapters, bringing the characteristic Placebo tone to the stage in Frankfurt. It’s an opportunity to experience the band’s development in a compact set — direct, clear and without detours.
