Skin On Skin

Skin On Skin takes up residence at Newspeak in Montreal on May 31, 2026. A producer and DJ of South Sudanese origin active on the Australian scene, he moves along a line that links techno, house, breakbeat and rap codes. His tracks and his sets revolve around slow but tense rhythms, thick bass, and spoken or rapped vocals that cut through the mix and create a direct bridge between the club and hip‑hop.

Noticed with EPs released on Steel City Dance Discs and supported by the Stay On Sight network, he has forged a hybrid signature: techno darkened by trap accents, lo‑fi textures and a taste for sharp edits. In his DJ sets he plays on contrast, intensifies the pressure, drops dry breaks and then returns to heavy grooves, adjusting the trajectory to the room’s energy. With collaborations with producers and rappers to his name, he regularly slips unreleased tracks into his selections, for a mobile, direct and no‑nonsense format.
